Emotional Economics

Because people make decisions not only with their heads, but also with their hearts.

Our Motivation

Mastering behavioural change.

Emotional Economics grew out of the belief that effective strategies, products, and positioning only succeed when they account for real human behaviour and anticipate it accurately.

This perspective is essential for business, politics, and society. We support companies and institutions in understanding these dynamics and translating them into concrete solutions and measures. Because only those who understand behaviour can successfully change behaviour.

Our Services

We advise companies based on behavioural economics, psychology and behavioural design. Our goal: to design strategies, products and organisations in a way that makes them behaviourally effective by addressing the real drivers of human behaviour.

Strategy

We develop impactful strategies that do not assume an idealised “Homo œconomicus,” but rather are grounded in the actual, emotionally-driven decision-making of real people.

Positioning

We assist companies in refining their positioning so that it takes into account the emotional and psychological drivers of human choice.

Behavioral Pricing

Prices are never purely rational. We design pricing structures, models and communication based on behavioural economic principles such as reference pricing, perceptions of fairness, framing and loss aversion. The objective is to increase willingness to pay without compromising trust or brand value.

Change, Culture & Leadership

Organisations are social systems. We support organisations in shaping corporate culture and leadership behaviour in ways that foster motivation, accountability and collaboration. In doing so, we draw on insights into social norms, incentives, feedback and decision architectures.

Offer Design, Conversion & Behavioural Sales

We advise our clients on how framing and decision architectures influence purchasing choices — and how these principles can be applied both ethically and effectively.

We deliver talks and keynotes on behavioural economics, behavioural design, and human decision-making — engaging, accessible, and with a clear practical focus — for companies, conferences, and leadership events.

Luca Geisseler

I am the founder of a consulting firm dedicated to fostering sustainable behavioural change. I firmly believe that even complex societal challenges can be addressed — if we truly understand human behavior. Passion and enthusiasm drive me, and I enjoy working with people to reflect on and intentionally reshape patterns of thinking and action.

A central framework in my work is behavioural economics. I see it as offering practical, evidence-based approaches to real-world challenges — always pragmatic and human-centred. True change does not come from abstract models, but from thoughtfully designed decision-making situations in everyday life.

I come from Graubünden, and my roots there continue to shape who I am. Being grounded, clear, and connected to one’s community are values I hold dear. I studied History, Economics, and Political Science at the University of Zurich—a combination that sharpened my understanding of societal dynamics, institutional processes, and political systems.

I value discourse: engagement, debate, and the pursuit of better arguments. Outside of work, I enjoy literature and sport, particularly football and ice hockey. For me, the stadium is more than a venue—it feels like a piece of home.
